Allen Stone, the 25-year-old soul singer from Washington, spreads confetti and unity in his new video for "Celebrate Tonight."

Sporting his signature horn-rimmed glasses, Stone lights up an otherwise subdued celebration at a senior center. His powerful vocals pull the residents from their seats and engages them in spirited, synchronized clapping. The track originally appeared on Stone's self-released, self-titled debut album in 2011, which was given wide release by ATO Records last year.

"'Celebrate Tonight' is a very special song to me," the singer tells Rolling Stone. "This video concept we were able to do brings this song fully to life. I hope it simply communicates happiness and joy and love that we as humans can create and share with one another, regardless of age, race or gender."

Stone plays SXSW on March 13th before heading overseas for a string of performances in Australia and Japan. He returns to the United States in mid-April for more dates.

David Bowie Confronts Fame in 'The Stars (Are Out Tonight)'

David Bowie Confronts Fame in 'The Stars (Are Out Tonight)'Clip for new single upends couple's life with celebrity encounter $(document).ready(function() { $('.socialActionsTop .pageActions .email-content').hover( function() { $('.socialActionsTop .bubble.email').show(); }, function() { $('.socialActionsTop .bubble.email').hide(); } ); $('.socialActionsTop .pageActions .print-page').hover( function() { $('.socialActionsTop .bubble.print').show(); }, function() { $('.socialActionsTop .bubble.print').hide(); } ); });

Celebrities aren't usually the ones doing the stalking, but David Bowie re-imagines the role famous people play in other people's lives in the video accompanying his new single "The Stars (Are Out Tonight)."

David Bowie's 'The Next Day' Album: A Track-by-Track Preview

Bowie and Tilda Swinton play a nicely settled middle-aged couple whose comfortable existence is upended when a celebrity pair – Saskia De Brauw and Andrej Pejic, who's made to look startlingly like a young Bowie – follow them home from the grocery store and take over their space, both physical and emotional. The couples' roles slowly reverse, calling into question exactly what Swinton and Bowie's characters mean at the market when they agree, "We have a nice life."

The song starts with a slow, heavy backbeat and guttural guitar that dissolve into a propulsive bassline topped with shards of guitar and atmospheric synthesizers, for an effect reminiscent of vintage Bowie. It's the second song the singer has released from his upcoming album The Next Day, which is due next month. The first tune, "Where Are We Now?" was moodier and more reflective, with a video that revisited some of the places the singer used to frequent in Berlin in the Seventies.

'Colbert Report' to Return Tonight

Production is back on for the Colbert Report, which will return to the air tonight.

As Rolling Stone reported last week, the show had abruptly suspended taping after canceling the February 15th episode at the last minute due to "unforeseen reasons."

While neither Comedy Central nor Stephen Colbert himself released an official statement explaining the hiatus, reports emerged that Colbert was taking the time off to care for his 91-year-old mother.

On February 17, Colbert tweeted a note of thanks to those who had expressed concern:

"My family and I would like to thank everyone who has offered their thoughts and prayers. We are grateful and touched by your concern."

Tonight’s episode will feature the novelist Ann Patchett discussing independent bookstores.

Sleigh Bells Live Stream Their Manhattan Show Tonight

sleigh bells Alexis Krauss of Sleigh Bells performs during the Sasquatch! Music Festival at the Gorge Amphitheatre in George, Washington.

Brooklyn noise-pop duo Sleigh Bells will play a homecoming gig at New York City's Terminal 5 tonight, just a night before making their debut appearance on Saturday Night Live this weekend. The band will be playing old favorites from their acclaimed debut Treats, as well as several cuts from their new album, Reign of Terror.

Unsurprisingly, the gig is entirely sold out, but there is some good news for fans who were either shut out or live nowhere near Manhattan. The Bowery Presents will be live streaming the show on YouTube. If it's possible to line your computer out to very loud speakers, you definitely should for this stream. Just saying.

You can watch the show Here.
