The bill will also include performances by Tom Morello, Iron and Wine, Tune-Yards, Dawes, Patty Griffin, Deer Tick, Gary Clark Jr., Sharon Van Etten, the Head and the Heart and the Tallest Man on Earth.

Vampire Weekend, Feist, Hot Chip and Godspeed You! Black Emperor will be among the top acts at the Pitchfork Music Festival at Chicago's Union Park on July 13th through 15th. The full lineup will not be revealed for some time, but other confirmed acts include A$AP Rocky, the Field, Grimes, Liturgy and Cloud Nothings. Tickets for the festival, including single-day and full-weekend passes, will go on sale March 9th.

My Morning Jacket have been called upon to guest-curate the lineup of the Forecastle Festival in their hometown of Louisville, Kentucky on July 13th through 15th. In addition to a headlining performance by MMJ, the weekend will feature sets by Wilco, Sleigh Bells, Girl Talk, Beach House, Neko Case, Atlas Sound, Real Estate and Dean Wareham, who will play a set of songs by his old band Galaxie 500.

Crossing Brooklyn Ferry
The National, a band who are no strangers to curating indie festivals and compilations, have teamed up with the Brooklyn Academy of Music to put together the Crossing Brooklyn Ferry festival in Fort Greene, Brooklyn on May 3rd through 5th. The National will perform, as will St. Vincent, Phish's Trey Anastasio, Nico Mulhy, Sharon Van Etten and Wye Oak.

Tour Alert: The Shins Announce Amphitheater Gigs

Following the release of the first single, "Simple Song," from their upcoming studio album, Port of Morrow (out March 20th), the Shins have announced a leg of U.S. tour dates beginning on April 13th in Las Vegas. Chairlift
Caroline Polachek and Patrick Wimberly of Chairlift will be setting off on a world tour to promote their new album Something (out Jan. 24),  their first since their 2008 critically acclaimed Does You Inspire You. The tour kicks off in Madison, WI, and tours Europe before returning in March to play more US dates.
