Mötley Crüe were forced to cut short their concert in Sydney on Sunday night when singer Vince Neil was hospitalized for a kidney stone attack.

According to Setlist.fm, the band was nine songs into their set when Nikki Sixx announced that Neil had been in pain throughout the show and needed to be taken to the hospital. Guitarist Mick Mars later apologized for the interruption on Twitter and explained the trouble with his bandmate's kidneys.

"He has been having problems for the last few days with kidney stones," the band's manager, Allen Kovac, told CNN. "He was treated at the hospital after the show. It's the middle of the night there, and we will know more later."

Kovac, who called the 52-year-old singer a "warrior," said that the band is still planning to perform as scheduled on Tuesday in Brisbane. "If there is a way to safely perform, [Neil] always does," he said. "In nearly 20 years of managing Motley Crue, I can't recall a show the band has canceled."

Madonna Challenges St. Petersburg Gay Pride Ban During Tour Stop

madonna MIKHAIL METZEL/AFP/GettyImages

At her MDNA tour stop in St. Petersburg, Russia, on August 9th, Madonna challenged the city's gay pride ban by giving away pink wristbands and speaking out at her show, according to The Hollywood Reporter. St. Petersburg prohibits the "propagation of homosexuality" and "promotion of gay lifestyles," and authorities had warned Americans of violent threats.

Despite several protests, the pop star handed out pink bracelets to concert attendees in opposition to the city's policies. A sign above the stage informed concertgoers that the bracelets showed "tolerance for the gay community" and encouraged fans to wear them.

Madonna demanded "respect, tolerance and love" for the LGBT community during the show, saying, "We want to fight for the right to be free." Though she asked the crowd to raise their bracelets in support, the audience reportedly showed a mixed reaction. Later, Madonna revealed the words "No Fear" written on her back and waved LGBT flags.

Madonna's MDNA tour has caused plenty of controversy. Last week, Elton John ripped the pop star, calling her career "over." She displayed World War II-era footage of the Warsaw Uprising at a tour stop in Warsaw, Poland, in response to protests earlier this month. In July, she was booed and called a "slut" by fans at an unexpected Paris show. France's far-right National Front party announced they will file a lawsuit against Madonna for her use of Nazi imagery at a tour stop in Paris. She has also canceled the Australian leg of her MDNA tour and was recently sued over an uncleared sample on her 1990 hit "Vogue."

Three Stabbed During Swedish House Mafia Show

DJ Sebastian Ingrosso of Swedish House Mafia performs at Roseland Ballroom in New York City on April 6, 2012.

Three men were left injured after being stabbed during a Swedish House Mafia show in Milton Keynes, U.K. on Saturday, NME reports.

According to reports from the Thames Valley Police, one of the men, a 23-year-old from the West Midlands area, is being treated for a punctured lung at Milton Keynes General Hospital. Another 23-year-old man was treated by an onsite ambulance for minor injuries; the third man, a 24-year-old, received cuts on his head and arm but was discharged from the hospital.

"This appears to have been an isolated incident, and overall we are very pleased with how the event passed off," said Detective Chief Inspector Justin Fletcher. "But we would like to trace the person responsible for this assault."

Police described the suspect they are looking for in connection with the attacks as a white man in his early 20s wearing a Nike T-shirt, black jacket and black jogging bottoms. A police spokesman added, "Anyone who witnessed the incident, particularly if they captured it on their camera or mobile phone, is requested to contact the police."

Other arrests were made at the show, with three taken into custody on suspicion of possession of Class-A drugs with intent to supply. None of the arrests were reported to relate to the stabbings.

Just a week ago, a 23-year-old man was charged with multiple stabbings that left nine injured during a show at Dublin's Phoenix Park that Swedish House Mafia headlined, with other performances from Snoop Dogg, Calvin Harris, and Tinie Tempah.
