Jennifer Hudson on Witness List for Murder Trial

Oscar-winning singer Jennifer Hudson will be called to the witness stand in the upcoming trial of the man accused of murdering her mother, brother and 7-year-old nephew in 2008. Prosecutors have not yet disclosed whether Hudson will testify at the April 9th trial of William Balfour, who was the estranged husband of her sister, Julia.

Hudson's mother, Darnell Donerson, 57, and the singer's brother Jason Hudson, 29, were found shot to death in the family's home on October 24th, 2008. The body of her nephew, a child from Julia's previous relationship, was found days later in a vehicle several miles away. Police connected the killings by recovering a gun apparently used in both shootings. Prosecutors claim that Balfour killed all three in a "jealous rage."
