Rolling Stones to Preview Tour With $20 Warm-Up Gig in Paris

Mick Jagger, Ronnie Wood, Keith Richards and Charlie Watts of The Rolling Stones attend the premiere of 'Crossfire Hurricane' in London.

In preparation for their 50th-anniversary shows in London and Newark, New Jersey, the Rolling Stones announced a surprise warm-up gig tonight in Paris, with tickets priced at just $20, The Associated Press reports.

Fans quickly swarmed the Champs-Elysées, hoping to snag one of the 350 tickets available. Tickets were limited to two per person, the holder's name must be printed on them and IDs are required at the door and no cell phones or recording devices are allowed.

The show will mark the Rolling Stones' first live performance since 2007. The much higher-priced tickets (around $152 for teh cheap seats) for their two shows at London's O2 Arena sold out just minutes after going on sale last week; while presale for their two-night stand at Newark's Prudential Center starts today at noon EST, with a general on-sale on October 26th.

Be sure to check out Rolling Stone's exclusive peek inside the band's 50th reunion, which guitarist Keith Richards says won't be limited to just these shows: "My experience with the Rolling Stones is that once the juggernaut starts rolling, it ain't gonna stop. So without sort of saying definitely yes – yeah. We ain't doing all this for four gigs!"
