Leslie Carter Autopsy Inconclusive

An initial autopsy report on the death of Leslie Carter, the sister of singers Aaron Carter and former Backstreet Boy Nick Carter, was inconclusive, the Chautauqua County Coroner's Office announced today. The 25-year-old mother and occasional singer was found dead yesterday in her home in upstate New York, where she reportedly moved from Canada recently to live with family members while sturggling with a prescription drug dependency. 

Coroner Richard Mackowiak said the results of a toxicology report are pending and that it is the family's decision whether to make the results public. 

Leslie Carter recorded an unreleased album for DreamWorks in 1999, at the height of Backstreet mania. Her song "Like Wow!" appeared on the Shrek soundtrack. She was perhaps best known, however, for appearing on the E! network reality show House of Carters, which ran in 2006.
