After a slew of mixtapes, Moroccan-born, New York-bred MC French Montana will release his long-awaited debut for Bad Boy Entertainment, Excuse My French, on April 16th. Now you can get an exclusive first look at the record's cover art, which depicts a young boy trekking through a scorching desert. "The concept of the cover is to represent my journey from Morocco to New York, from a kid to a hustler, from the beginning to today," French says. "The deserts represent the dry period of my life when I had nothing and I had to work to get that water and to make a living for me and my family. It was only right that I used my son for that picture. He represents my future and me; I represent his past. It is all about the journey of my life, my music, and my movement."
