Singer-songwriter Grace Woodroofe released her debut album Always Want in January and is gearing up to tour in March. Her latest single is the acoustic-guitar driven "Transformer," which she croons in a raspy voice. Woodroofe says the track is about the transformations actors go through on a regular basis.
"At 18 years old, with a few weeks living in Los Angeles under my skin, I started to become deeply fascinated with the lives my actor friends led," she says. "Accompanying them to auditions, watching rehearsals and witnessing the unrelenting desperation outside the casting rooms . . . it put into perspective the lengths people go to fit the mold."
